Cool looking back-fin! Another Lovecraftian creature that would be cool to see is a cute girl from Innsmouth!!  Of course she'd have fishy features like webbed hands and feet, & a few fins, too. ;)

I drew some Innsmouth residents, but never a girl, I think. There is a female character from Innsmouth in another Lovecraft story, Asenath from "The Thing at the Doorstep". Maybe I'll make a portrait of her.

Thanks. :)

It's beginning to look a lot like fishmen :D

Really cool version

In your artworks I like the background is sometimes even more than the characters themselves. Great picture!

Thanks. I like to draw some simple and blurred background to add a scene to the whole artwork and a sense of depth (in contrast to the more detailed character in the foreground). I just think the whole drawing gets "too empty" sometimes, and a background makes it look more like a painting, though sometimes I leave the background empty, depending on the medium used.

And yet a couple of words about this Deep One - he wonderful. Many artist depict deep ones like bad ass with many with unnecessary  flippers ( sometimes even too many flippers). As for me, your deep one - most canonical. No special effects, just a primal fear).

Thanks! :) Yeah, I'm not a big fan of putting too many attributes into the creatures I draw. Just the necessary and perhaps a few more, but never too much.
